No fear of death 

“Let us cross over to the other side.” - Mark 4:35 

When the Talibans besieged Afghanistan every family struggled hard to flee Afghanistan territories. A certain woman could not climb a wall to escape. On seeing the miserable woman, a few American militants formed steps with their hands. Thus, she climbed up the hand ladder and passed the territory and her life was saved. It was a fortuitous escape. 

35th verse in the 4th chapter of the gospel of Mark says, “Jesus said to them “Let us cross over to the other side.” A great storm arose and the waves beat into the boat and it was filling with water. The disciples feared exceedingly that they would drown and perish. They called out to Jesus who was sleeping for help. He arose and rebuked the wind saying, “Peace, be still.” At once the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Thus, they came to the other side of the sea safely. 

Friends, amid the different phases of covid-19 there arises a question if we can cross over to the other side or not. We conquered the first wave of covid-19 and then the second wave. We are in fear of the third one and beyond. No one knows when it ends. But it is sure and certain that Jesus is with us to calm the storm and take us to the other side of the sea. We need not be fearful about the pattern of waves. If we rely on Jesus with strong faith, He will help us, our family and country to cross over to the other side. As the Bible says, “For He spoke and it was done, He commanded and it stood fast.” Let us believe that we shall conquer the corona waves and be back to normal life soon. Amen!
