You should always pray

"to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint..." - Luke 18:1

There was a famine in a village where there was no water to drink and the people had to bring water from three miles away. In that village, a wise father saw his two young sons and said, "There is a treasure in our field, dig it up immediately." The two of them went to the field with joy and dug. They got tired of digging without stopping. When they lost hope of finding the treasure, they closed their eyes and sat down with a sigh, when moisture seeped under their feet. In a short time, water gushed out from the depths and came like a river. The father and the people of that village were very happy. The children knew that this was the treasure that the father had spoken of. The village itself was transformed. The people were filled with joy and happiness.

There is an incident in the Bible. The Philistines had dug the wells in the days of Abraham. In the same way, Isaac's servant dug a well in the valley. While digging, they found a spring of water gushing out. The shepherds of Gerar came and argued with each other, saying, "This well is ours." Then they left that place and dug another well. They also argued with each other, saying, "This well is ours." Isaac's servant dug another well. He did not argue with that. Therefore, he called it Rehoboth.

O beautiful child of God who is tired of praying! Prayer is like an exercise in digging the ground. As those young men dug incessantly, so do you, child of God, when you pray without getting tired, God will answer your prayer from heaven like a river. He will speak to you in a vision at night. He will make peace with your enemies. He will make you a light to the world. Your head will be anointed with oil. He will prepare a table in the presence of your enemies. A crown will bloom on your head. Your life, ministry, and family will be transformed. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matt. 7:7)
