"...the stork in heaven knoweth her appointed times…" - Jeremiah 8:7
The Lord warns us in the Bible how careful we should be in making the most of our time. "Make the most of the time, because the days are evil" (Eph. 5:6) Why does the Lord say, "Even the sparrow knows the time of its coming"? The stork, the wild dove, the crane, and the sparrow in the sky know their time, but my people do not, he says.
In this modern era, we turn to websites for all our searches. It is true that we can get a lot of constructive information from them in an instant. But the world lies in the hands of the wicked one. Therefore, we should search only for what we try to search for on websites and get out of them immediately. Otherwise, the devil will steal your time and your time. Because he is a thief and a robber. Do you read the Bible regularly and pray? How do you behave wisely before those who associate with you? The Bible says: " Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time" (Col. 4:5)
In the Bible, Mary chose the good part by sitting at the feet of Jesus, pouring ointment on his head. But the people mocked her. In the same way, many will mock you for acting wisely, for making the most of your time. Just as the mockery that came to Mary was a blessing, so the mockery that comes to you when you do good is a blessing! Do not think that I have no reward for doing good.
The sparrow does not know how to do anything other than its intended purpose, nor does it know how to waste time. Similarly, as stated in Psalm 1, we should not waste time sitting where the mockers sit. We should not look at unnecessary things on our phones. Let us continue towards the goal in the race that the Lord has assigned to us. "If you do not know the value of time, you will shed tears!"
"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called ..." (1 Tim. 6: 12).
