Complaining

“You shall not go about as a talebearer among your people” - Leviticus 19:16

Since Adam, followed by Israelites till us, it is in our blood to gossip about others. To listen to others ‘shortcomings is like milk sweet and it is a finger licking good experience. Complaining about others is equal to despising them. We don't realise whether we have such mistakes in us. We forget our flaws looking at our positive things. Our habit is that we look at other people's flaws and forget their positive sides. 

But the Bible says in Philippians 2:3 "but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other than themselves." For example, it is possible to complain and despise someone in his work when they do it for a small church in a village. But God has kept him in that place to do that particular help. We didn't do that work so it is not right to complain about that person. 

"The wealthy man came to Jesus, listened to His words and went away sadly; modern day wealthy people are also like that" we accuse wealthy people for that most of the time, if Jesus tells us "Sell all thou hast and distribute the poor and follow me" how many of us will follow Him we don't know. 

My dear! Don't be hasty to notice others ‘flaws. Let us not have the character to declare the flaws of others louder. Let us not give space in our heart for the sin of inquiring about others and despising them in our heart. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:12 “therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." So let us not ignore the smallest of flaws in us and correct those. If we can get such a thought in us, we can finish a good spiritual race.
